The subject of acts and duties
Act
Responsibility is linked in the intimate to the act, not happening for external causes, and it becomes objectively real during the coexistence with others; that is recognizable afore someone and afore God: everybody experiences the conscience, which judges and determine the person in the manifested dependence on his or her own will and freedom.
The implementation of a good leads to bliss; the person is so realized in the creative union of truth with freedom. Instead, the “pleasure that happens” and the only “I can but I am not forced” do not generate happiness; indeed, happiness is experienced while participating in actions that unite people.
A responsible action submits freedom to truth through thought and will. The person does not need to act in an unnecessary way, the free will for self-determination brings the feeling of freedom.
The spirituality of the person is revealed in the union with the performed act; this realization expresses responsibility in determination and moral conscience, with a free reference to truth of the achieved good.
Operativity, duty, responsibility, freedom, truth cannot be sensed, but the truth of spirituality can be grasped, experienced and internalized by one’s own intellect.
