St. John Chrysostom and the promulgation of the Law
Disputes
St. John Chrysostom noticed that the New Law was promulgated when the Holy Spirit descended from heaven on Pentecost Day and that the Apostles did not descend from the mountain carrying, like Moses, stone tablets in their hands.
Rather, they were bringing the Holy Spirit into their hearts.
They became an animated book, a living law, by His grace.
