The responsible love is free
Freedom
[preamble in The spousal love]
Responsible love is also truly free; truth about man is confirmed to the extent that he is realized by making himself a free gift for others.
Love commits freedom in truth about the person; it is a gift of self that limits one’s freedom for the benefit of others, in a constraint that is not constrictive, but joyful and creative.
Without the use of freedom for love, there is a sense of emptiness; love commits freedom and fills it with good that by nature attracts the will; thanks to love man participates in good.
Through freedom man desires and aims to true love, because an authentic commitment to freedom is possible in truth.
The will is free, but it also needs to seek and choose the good that is right for its nature; freedom does not accept an imposed good, it wants to choose and, affirming the choice of the loved one, affirms the value of the person.
